Sunday Night Blues

After a great weekend, I always end up a bit down on Sunday night. It’s back to the grindstone tomorrow.

Also a bit down because the Cardinals lost today and the Blackhawks won.

I always feel a little empty when I leave Daniel and especially when he is begging me to move there so I can be with him lots and lots! šŸ™‚

I have enjoyed my mini vacation in St. Louis. Ā I was happy to help Allison and family celebrate her graduation. I’m very proud and happy for her.

Kevin and I had a nice and relaxing time with Peyton and Eli and took in a Cardinals game yesterday.

I spent time with the Daniel and Sadie. Daniel spent the night last night and as always, we laugh so much at things he says.

He enlightened us with his version of how babies are made this weekend! I could hardly keep a serious face while he explained to us! Kevin was laughing so hard that it finally made Daniel mad. šŸ™‚

We had a great adventure exploring Forest Park this morning while walking Peyton and Eli.

It’s been cool and/or rainy all weekend but the day we head back to Columbia, its beautiful in St. Louis! Pisses me off!

After we took him home, we got to say hello to little Sadie Bug..and headed back to our apartment get a quick run in before we headed for home.

I’ve run quite a bit this weekend. I ran 7 Friday, 5 Saturday and did 4 this morning.

I ran without music for the first time and it wasn’t that bad. Kevin and I actually conversed for a change! Ā I’m not saying I’m going to give up my music but it was not a terrible thing to talk and listen to surroundings and nature.

I came home and did a load of laundry, mowed and weed-eated the yard. It looks great and always gives me a satisfaction that is hard to explain.

Exhausted……in a good way šŸ™‚

When we got home, some sweet little neighbor girl had baked some cupcakes and put them anonymously in our door with a cute little note in them.

  1. I thought that the Cards would win, especially after being up early. šŸ˜¦ Sounds like a great weekend otherwise. I totally understand the satisfaction from the yard work. I love that feeling, and often sit down and look at the progress. Have a great day!
